Grease

...is the word.

OCTOBER 7 - ONE SHOW ONLY - 6pm

Sponsored by Marsha Rosselli and Jim Driscoll

Directed by Daniel Begin
Music Directed by Lea Peterson

Choreography by Brad Reinking
Stage Managed by Connor Vincek

Book, Music and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey

With a hip-shaking rock ‘n’ roll score featuring hits like “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “We Go Together,” Grease celebrates Rydell High’s class of 1959 in all their duck-tailed, bobby-soxed, gum-snapping glory.

We’re doing it again! Join our ranks as the Young Company embarks on another epic (and speedy) journey to stage a musical in just 24 hours! For this fundraising event, students and staff will work as a collaborative, creative team to stage, costume, and tech an entire production that will be performed for the public. The countdown will begin at 4:30pm on Friday, October 6th ending with a performance on October 7th! Join us as we tackle this year’s slick production: Grease!

Proceeds from the 24-Hour Musical will go to Fund-A-Need, our scholarship program that supports Young Company students throughout the year by removing financial barriers to participation. By participating in this program, you personally will play an integral role in expanding access to other young actors just like you!

This special presentation will be performed by the students of our Young Company as part of their 24-Hour Musical challenge! Proceeds will benefit our Education Assistance Fund. Through our FUND-A-NEED program, we pave the way for brighter futures by supporting Young Company scholarships, extending financial aid, subsidizing student matinee tickets, covering transportation costs for enriching field trips, and so much more. Thank you for being a part of our mission to expand access to arts education in Greater Boston.

This program is open to actors in in Acts 2 (grades 7-9) & 3 (grades 10-12).
