5.22.20  SEASON  UPDATE  DUE  TO  NATIONAL  HEALTH  CRISIS.   READ HERE >
Dear Friends,

Here at GBSC, we’re single-minded in our efforts to bring you the most diverse, exciting and entertaining shows we possibly can in our friendly, intimate setting. We want to make sure that every visit to our theatre is memorable and different and maybe, just maybe, leaves you looking at the world a little bit differently.

With this in mind, our 20th season has a great mix of new titles, an old favorite or two and one completely off-the-wall new play. This year’s shows run the gamut from an exploration of a forgotten gospel/rock icon of the 1930s and 40s to the Broadway blockbuster Matilda, plus the follow-up to Season 18 audience favorite Miss Holmes. Add to that a classic holiday story, my new play set in a shuttered Massachusetts bowling alley, and Jen Silverman’s darkly comedic absurdist riff on the Bronte sisters, and we promise you six unforgettable evenings of live theatre that will surprise and delight you.

As we celebrate 20 years of professional theatre in Greater Boston, we invite you to come out and play!

Meet our Illustrator for Season 20
YC ALUM JULES TALBOT

A longtime member of The Young Company, Jules Talbot performed in 11 productions at GBSC: first in 2009's Pirates of Penzance (Mabel) when she was a hyperactive ten-year-old, and finally eight years letter in 2017's Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), fully matured into a hyperactive seventeen-year-old. Now a Young Company alum, she is humbled and delighted to return to GBSC in a new capacity as an illustrator. Currently, Jules is a sophomore at NYU Gallatin studying English, Shakespeare, creative writing and visual art, and this summer she interned at the American Shakespeare Center. She has seen 41 productions of Hamlet, and in fact draws a graphic novel adaptation of Hamlet called "I Am Dead, Horatio." Art Instagram: jules_talbot
