AN IRISH CAROL

Christmas spirits, Irish humor, and a holiday to remember.

December 5-21, 2025

By Matthew Keenan
New England Premiere

It’s Christmas Eve in David’s cozy Dublin pub, and the ghosts of his past are finally catching up with him. This comic and heartfelt tribute to Dickens’ timeless classic is infused with Irish wit and warmth, reminding us that it’s never too late for a life to change.

(Advisory: it wouldn’t be an authentic Irish pub without a bit of colorful language!)

Come Early for Live Irish Music!
Before each performance, audiences are invited to arrive a bit early, grab a pint, and enjoy live Irish music performed onstage. Musician Lindsay Straw, an Irish bouzouki player, guitarist, and singer, has been immersed in Boston’s legendary Irish music scene for nearly two decades. A Berklee graduate and sought-after accompanist, she has collaborated on countless albums and gigs throughout New England. For An Irish Carol, Lindsay is joined by either fiddlers Cara Frankowicz or Clare Fraser, or accordionist Dan Accardi—all beloved and highly regarded members of the Celtic music community.

Settle in, savor the atmosphere, and let the music bring you right into the heart of Dublin before the story begins.
