LOCATION
Weeks 1 to 4 at Colonial Park Elementary School: 30 Avalon Road, Stoneham, MA
Week 5 at Greater Boston Stage Company: 395 Main Street, Stoneham, MA
TUITION
$2000
We aim to remove financial barriers to participation. Each year, Greater Boston Stage Company’s generous donors contribute to our Fund-A-Need program, which supports financial aid for students in The Young Company. While scholarships typically range from 30% to 50%, more substantial aid can be given in specific situations. Given the extraordinary circumstances of the last two years, we are prepared for both an increase in individual aid requests and an increase in the amount requested. An optional financial aid application is included at the end of the online registration process. Please do not hesitate to utilize this program to help support you as you support your student.
WORK-STUDY INTERNSHIPS
Interested in being involved beyond a performing role? Work-study internships are available to Act 3 students for student-teaching, assistant stage managing, technical direction, arts administration, and more. Reach out to julia@greaterbostonstage.org for details (please include a resume).
WORKSHOP SERIES
For Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3, Summer Festival 2022 will continue our afternoon workshop series that aims to introduce students to a myriad of different art topics, styles, conversations, and techniques that extend beyond the bounds of theatre alone.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
All GBSC Health & Safety Policies are developed in compliance with CDC guidelines and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and cross-referenced with plans implemented by other successful theatrical institutions.
Because guidelines are ever-changing, a detailed Health & Safety Plan will be announced closer to the start of the program. Please be advised that, at this time, proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 is required as a prerequisite to participation. Exceptions to this policy with respect to medical or religious exemptions are subject to approval by the theatre and may be considered on a case by case basis.
