AUDIO DESCRIPTION

Greater Boston Stage Company is pleased to announce its first offering of Audio Description, presented with the support of Think Outside the Vox (VOX).

Audio Description is a visually crafted, strategically timed narration of the visual elements of a performance, designed to make theatre more accessible for patrons who are blind or have low vision. VOX is committed to creating high-quality, culturally competent Audio Description created for and by the Blind community.

Our production of Wait Until Dark will include a tactile tour, a live pre-show, and in-show Audio Description.

Two Audio Described performances will be offered:

  • Saturday, March 21 at 2:00 PM
  • Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 PM

These performances are part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility and to welcoming Blind, Low Vision, disabled, and non-disabled patrons alike. They reflect our intention to tell this story with care and accuracy while ensuring more members of our community can fully experience the work on stage.

Members of the Blind and Low Vision community may purchase $40 tickets to these Audio Described performances using the code GLORIA at checkout.

Learn more about these performances and preshow materials on the Wait Until Dark page.

Greater Boston Stage Company is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment for all.
