Looking to hone your acting skills and dive deeper into scene work? Our Fall Play program gives students the opportunity to explore the art of acting while participating in a fully produced adaptation of a classic play.
The Young Company Fall Play is a 7-week program in which students rehearse and perform a fully produced play. “Fully produced” means the show is staged and memorized, with design elements including costumes, lighting, and props. Led by our Young Company teaching artists, students will develop skills in text analysis, character development, and ensemble collaboration.
Every registered student is guaranteed a role in the production. Auditions will take place on the first day of the program, September 14th. Audition details will be shared with registered families closer to the start of the program.
Rehearsals will take place on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays at Greater Boston Stage Company and Stoneham Public Library. Please see our calendar for specific dates, times, and locations. Please note that this process will utilize staggered calls, so students may not be required at all rehearsals; details on the exact schedule will be sent out weekly.

Literature’s greatest tale of latent love has never felt so theatrical or so full of life as it does in this effervescent adaptation. Because what turns us into greater fools than the high-stakes game of love?
